The Holy Ghost

Hi everybody! Hope your week was swell!
Last week wasn’t extremely eventful for Elder Hewitt and myself but we still saw some great miracles!  Tuesday night Elder Hewitt threw up before we went to bed and on Wednesday he still wasn’t feeling well so we weren’t able to do much.  I tried to make phone calls and study but I must admit that made for a really long day. That night we were able to have a lesson with an investigator over Skype! It was a really great lesson on feeling the Holy Ghost. It was awesome to be able to feel the Spirit as we talked even though we weren’t in the same room.
Sunday was awesome! Elder Hewitt and I were asked to sing in a stake choir that was doing a musical program called “Our Savior’s Love”. Elder Hewitt and I had both done choir in high school and we agreed that it was nice to sing something other than hymns in sacrament
meeting. I was REALLY out of practice but I think I did alright. The music was good and we had a pretty good turnout.
On Sunday we also got to teach an amazing lesson to an investigator named Chris W. He had a baptismal date for a while but because of some concerns that he had it came and went a while ago. We weren’t really sure if he still wanted to be baptized because he wasn’t really participating in lessons as much as he used to. For the lesson on Sunday our ward mission leader, Brother Briggs, and ourselves thought it would be a good idea to have Brother Briggs come with us to the lesson because he was in a similar situation to the one that Chris is
in. It was the perfect thing! Because of the inspired questions that Brother Briggs asked we found out that he does still want to get baptized and he knows what he needs to do to get there! Chris told us that he feels something special about this church and he still wants
to be a part of it!
I know Heavenly Father uses the Holy Ghost to speak to His children and that if we listen to it we can see amazing miracles! The Spirit can touch anyone’s heart and will always inspire us to do good.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23
I love all of you and I hope you can follow the promptings of the spirit this week!
Love,
Elder Wilcock
