The Plan of Happiness is Real!
Hi everybody! I hope your week was awesome! Last week was great! We found a couple of new people to teach, which is always exciting! One of them was a referral from the missionaries in the YSA ward. They had met her walking around one day and she said they could send us over to talk with her. Her name is Peggy. She’s always been Christian and is really excited to read from the Book of Mormon to learn more about Christ! We are excited to go back on Friday and talk to her about what she read.
The other person is someone Elder Rockwood met while we were on a tracting blitz with the spanish elders. While Elder Rockwood and Elder Miller were finding several new investigators, Elder White and I tried knocking two different apartment complexes. We got kicked out of the
first one after four doors and we got kicked out of the second one after only two doors. It sucked for us but I’m glad something came from it!
Taylin, our investigator with a baptismal date is struggling. He had finals last week and we weren’t able to get a hold of him. We’re gonna try to stop by him again this week. Hopefully now that finals are over he’ll be more available.
So something sad but good happened last week. A member of our ward passed away. I say that it’s a good thing because he had a stroke about ten years ago and hasn’t been the same since. He couldn’t really leave the house and he couldn’t speak in complete sentences. Only minutes after his passing his wife smiled as she said, “He can finally be himself again! I’m so happy for him!”
I’m so glad that Heavenly Father has given us the great Plan of Happiness. I know that death is part of the plan and will eventually be overcome because Jesus Christ overcame it with His resurrection. I know that each of us can be with our loved ones forever because of God’s plan.
I love you all and I hope you have a great week!
P.S. We went to the Nike world head quarters today! I got to take a picture with the parking spot sign for Lebron James! There were so many cool things! We even got to see a famous soccer player named Ronaldo!
